Recommended Video Equipment for Shooting.

One thing about being a Videographer is that you are going to need a bunch of camera equipment for a multitude of different scenarios and projects. So here are some examples of handy tools that you are going to need on your next project.

  • Tripod- Not only does the tripod keep the camera steady when shooting, but it also allows you to have smooth camera movement throughout shooting as well. And the tripod can be adjusted to certain heights as well, making it very accommodating to most circumstances.
  • Microphone- Of course, when you're shooting a project, you're going to need to record the audio as well. And as for the type of microphone to use, I'd recommend the lave mic, since it's small, light and gives off good quality audio. And make sure you bring along some XLR cables, as well as some headphones to listen to said audio. It'll make post editing a whole lot simpler.
  • 3-Point Lighting Kit- It's never a good idea to shoot a video in a dark room. That's why a 3-point lighting kit is perfect for lighting up certain shots. It consists of the key light, which's your primary source of light. Then you got the fill light, which softens the shadows cast by the key light. Then the back light, which is obviously cast on the back of a subject or object. All combine to create a perfectly lit scene for any shoot.
