There are plenty of good things that I'm really looking forward to for when I become an official Videographer. However, there are also few bad things that I'm really not looking forward to, but hopefully will overcome with due time. Let's break them down.
Pros
Now, being able to work with different clients can lead into shooting a multitude of different and interesting events. Such as Sporting events, Concerts, Weddings. But not only that, but what ever event I shoot. I can potentially add to my portfolio. And I will be more likely to be hired again in the future. It's an interesting yet fun cycle for sure.
Also, being able to travel all across the world is the dream. With so many beautiful places in the world to shoot footage for or even record personal projects. It really goes to show that the sky really is the limit.
Cons
But it isn't all fun and games though, especially when it comes to the expenses. Professional cameras and equipment can range from the hundreds to the thousands of dollars in prices. Not to mention the equipment can be very heavy if not prepared to shoot. As well as projects can take long amounts of time, like long hours into the night and early mornings. That's why I recommend to maintain a regular healthy lifestyle as you pursue your career. Such as exercising and eating healthy. Your body will thank you later.
